Here’s a list of my favorite albums. As you’ll notice it’s a pretty messy collection of styles and genres…but who cares? Good music makes genres obsolete!! When I started this post I actually tried ranking the albums, but I soon realised that that just isn’t possible. I mean, is it really possible to say which album is your absolute no1?? I couldn’t!! So here’s a list of brilliant albums…in random order:)

Stan Getz – Café Montmarte:

Café Montmartre, a jazz bar in Copenhagen, was(I believe it’s closed now) one of Stan Getz’ favorite venues when he lived in Denmark during the late 50ies. This album, Café Montmartre, is actually a compilation of ballads taken from the albums Anniversary, Serenity and People Time all performed some 30 years later – the last of them only three months before he died from cancer.
The music is just stunningly beautiful. Nothing less! All 9 tracks are played with so much passion and intimacy and it’s really hard to think of anything quite as beautiful. It’s one of those albums that you can never get enough of. It strikes me every time how unbelievably perfect and beautiful this music is.
The quality of the recording is pretty good as well and does justice to the music. On a good stereo you’ll be able to pick out the clinking of glasses, the frequent clapping and cheering of the crowd, and you’ll be able to feel the music.

Guns n’ Roses: Appetite for Destruction

If you like rock music, this has got be one of your favorites. It’s a classic. It’s Paradise City(the weakest track I think), Sweet Child o’ Mine, Nightrain, Welcome to the Jungle, and so on and so on. From start to finish it’s a tour de forc, it’s pure raging, drug filled energy. And it feels so nice. The sound quality is pretty bad, but with this album it doesn’t really matter. The “imperfection” actually adds an extra dimension to the music. It makes it more rock n roll:)
